LIE or TRUTH?!?

Few days back, a fren of mine asked me a question...I answered her truthfully lar den she was hurt by my answer...This puts me in a situation...If I were to lie is that good in a friendship??? So I m kinda in a dilemma now lor...Tell truth friend got hurt...If lie den she found out later I was lying lagi hurt...how leh now?!?
